Jan Kwakkel and Marjolijn Haasnoot have been elected in the leadership team of the Society for Decision Making Under Deep Uncertainty (DMDU). Kwakkel was elected as vice-president and Haasnoot is responsible for ‘Communication & Outreach’. After very successful meetings at the Worldbank in Washington, RAND in Santa Monica and Deltares in Delft, the Society now gains a permanent status.

About DMDU

The Society meets annually at intimate workshops that seek to support the growing community of practice with opportunities to share research and applications, discuss methodologies and explore new challenges. The next DMDU workshop is in November 2017 in Oxford. DMDU is a “multi-disciplinary association of professionals dedicated to improving decision making under deep uncertainty” and has over two hundred members.
